My Birthday HappeningsPosted on August 16th, 2008 @ 11:43 am
I’m nineteen, everyone! Zomg! As soon as I’d woken up in the morning and got myself ready, I instantly felt older and more mature. I’ve never had that happen to me on a birthday before, and it was a very strange (but wicked) feeling. Here’s what happened! (Shush, you know I love doing this list-crap.)
- At almost midnight, Dave called me and counted down until midnight to sing Happy Birthday to me. ^_^
- In the morning, I scrambled out of bed and downstairs to open my cards (no money, boo!) and presents. I got chocolates from my parents and a DS Lite Kit from my brother. I’d had my huge presents at the beginning of the week. ;D
- I’d just got out of the bath when Dave knocked on my front door! We’d been on a break so it was a big (& very lovely) surprise. He gave me a kiss and a cuddle, and a card and present. The card said “To My Girlfriend”, which.. if I’d gotten no presents for that birthday, and only got that card.. I would have been more than happy with. ^_^
- He bought me the Harry Potter movie box set! ZOMG! I was so chuffed, I almost squeezed him to death.
- Later on I had my chinese dinner with my family, with some wine.
- Dave picked me up after that and he took me to his brothers house as a surprise to get my R4 Revolution for my DS, which freakin’ rocked my socks off.
- We went to his house to download games for my DS, and then he took me home and we snuggled in his car while playing the DS to see what it’s like.
He bought his own DS this week so now he can play his own, and we can also play two player games, even though he cheats (he steals my Mario stars :() and beats me every time!
I’ve been redecorating my bedroom and I’ve chosen Cookie Cream brown paint for three walls, and a pretty brown wallpaper for one wall. I’ve yet to buy curtains, curtain rails, a rug, mirrors, photoframes and new bedding, but it’s all to come! I’ll be sure to post photos too.
Overall, my birthday freakin’ ROCKED.

Trust.Posted on August 10th, 2008 @ 6:20 pm
Trust is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do in my life. Trusting someone not to break your heart, totally out of your hands and control. It’s like having a five year old steer your car down a motorway and not being able to help them do it (kind of); you don’t know how it’ll end - all you can do is hold on for dear life and hope for the best.
It’s scary as hell, lets just say that. For me, anyway; I don’t know about anyone else. Yes, I realise this made no sense at all. I just have all these feelings inside that are gonna make me explode if I don’t do something.

Nineteen & Dying of LovePosted on August 7th, 2008 @ 6:24 am
Well well. Little Becky turns nineteen tomorrow, and she is scared out of her wits. Nineteen will be all about working, saving money to move out, taking driving lessons and buying my first car. I plan to buy it all on my own. My parents can pay for my insurance for my first year, and my road tax is free.* I cannot wait! I’m so excited, I think I’ll make a list.
A list of all the things I want to do in my nineteenth year of life.
- Get a job (preferably two during the year, or one and volunteer work).
- Volunteer at either a hospital/care home, dog/animal shelter or other.
- Join a gym (I plan to do this next tuesday! Watch this space.)
- Take my theory test, apply for my provisional licence, take driving lessons.
- Buy my very own car! I’d love a Smart car or a pink convertable VW Beetle.
Hopefully along the way I figure out what I would really love to do with my time (i.e my dream job). I hope I can move out around 19-20 years old, and hopefully by then this lack of job business, high fuel and high.. well, high everything, business has chillaxed and it’s a bit easier for people my age to move out and so on, and on their own too without having to rely on family.
Yesterday I went for a stroll with my brother to go buy my mum some bed sheets, and my brother bought my birthday present. I saw on a note (that he left on a counter in the shop) what it was, but I lied and told him I didn’t know. I think he liked the idea of knowing that my only one surprise for my birthday was from him, so I let him have it.
It’s a DS Lite Essentials Kit, which will really come in handy for the DS Lite I got for my birthday also. Here’s whats in it:
Protective carry case. DS Lite car power adaptor. 4 x games cartridge storage case. Safe lens shields. 2 stylus for DS lite. Stereo earphones. Wrist strap. Soft cleaning cloth. Squeeze soft card.
Bless him for being thoughtful. Also yesterday, Dave came to pick some of his belongings up which have been at my house for over two years. Poor kid had two jackets less to wear, so he’s excited to get them back. I think it feels like they’re brand new to him since he’s not seen them in so long.
We went to Bents - a Garden and Home store - and.. it’s even better than the last time I went! Last time was Christmas and they had Christmas themes everywhere, but this time it was just.. amazing. Like an old grandmas house or something, only.. a very posh and rich grandma. With very good taste in items. I love places like that and I’m glad he was there with me; he is hilarious.
We went back to his house and he showed me the stock he got for his new job. I wanted to buy most of the things, and I settled with buying a huge book which contains: facts, science and pranks. Quite childish really but I love it anyway. I also wanted a set of four Dinosaur egg cups (they are amazing, and shiney!) and a set of three lights that you can stick to your wall (or under a cupboard) and just press them when you want the light to come on; I adore those! He told me that I only have to pay for the book and the others he’ll buy for my birthday! Very sweet gesture, and to thank him I paid for dinner: Subway & Coke!
I suppose I shouldn’t really talk about his business, but as it’s partly mine too I think I’ll just say it. Even though we’re on a break, I feel like my heart will rip out of my chest from being too much in love. Sometimes I hate that, but right now? I love it.
*Free because my ma is disabled, so I would be signed up as her chauffeur, therefore.. free! I dunno why, sh.
